Thank you for this video! Fitbit just switched to google health and has now downgraded a lot of the features, so although i have been a Fitbit girly for almost a decade (I started wearing one in high school) I am looking for alternatives. Based on this video and other research, I think I’ll be getting a Garmin venu sq 2, as it seems the most similar to my Fitbit versa 3!
I’ve been using fitbit for 6 years and I’m debating switching. With the fitbit subscription you get a LOT more. Especially with sleep and HRV. I really want to keep my fitbit, but they just updated their UI and changed their app to google health. So as of 2026, they are no longer fitbit. But I know this video is a year old. If I can get used to the UI I’ll be keeping mine. But I will say, my husband has the inspire 3 and the sleep tracking is incredibly inaccurate. It will say he didnt fall asleep until 3am when I’m right next to him and he is snoring asleep by 10pm. So that is a pretty significant deficiency. We did try swapping fitbits one night (i have the versa 4) to see if the inspire could track my sleep. But the inspire was too big, it couldnt set properly, even when i swapper out the band, it couldnt track my sleep at all. With the fitbit subscription you have a sleep score, a sleep animal which compares your sleep to an animal. My sleep animal changes fairly regularly but I’m not sure if that is typical or if my sleep is just that bad. There is also advanced heart rate options on the newer fitbit model. This can be really helpful if you have a medical condition. It has helped some people by prompting a doctors visit for further investigation. The fitbit does have a community, but again only with the premium subscription. I dont use it much but people can message you. I recall you could do challenges with friends and post your workouts. I’m not sure how much is changed since fitbit became google health.
This is very old now there many other options now I own none . I run and do strength training. Want to increase vo2max and I want to know about my HRV because I sleep in two cycles and I want to know about isn’t any problem in my HRV. M Very worried about owning a inaccurate products.
